THE MOTLEY ASSORTMENT

The Motley Assortment (TMA) represents an eclectic collection of fine arts, jewelry, and hand-crafted goods from a variety of sources working in multiple mediums. Every piece showcased by TMA is an original work of the artist, making it truly one of a kind. With an ever present eye on the future, TMA strives to ensure that materials are always sustainably sourced. Furthering that cause, and as an avid supporter of public lands, a portion of all proceeds goes to local, state, and national parks across the United States. View our Store page for the most comprehensive selection of products available, or come and see our booth in person at one of the shows listed on our Events page. Learn more about the artist and her styles below and get to know what’s going on at TMA by checking out our Blog and Social Media. Finally, the Gallery offers a look at the photography and inspiration of the artist. Just remember, though a piece may be sold, custom prints and requests are never more than an email away.

MEET THE ARTIST

Hailing from Birch Run, Michigan, and living in Las Vegas, Nevada, Megann Motley has had the heart and eye of an artist since she was young. With most of her early inspiration and guidance coming from her grandmother, Megann decided to begin formally honing her skills while attending Delta College. Megann began to codify her talent and expand her business acumen as an apprentice at a print shop in Flint, Michigan. Looking to further expand her experiences with different media, Megann then tried her hand in pastry decoration, where she experienced the sense fulfillment that can be felt when presenting a customer with a finished product. With the confidence she gained from her education and experience, and the encouragement of friends and family, Megann began to explore the idea of The Motley Assortment. Dipping her toe in the water with an artisan market in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Megann’s heart became set on sharing her passions for art and nature with others. Today, Megann can either be found lost in her work at her home studio, out in nature seeking inspiration, or sharing her passion with others at art fairs. Her heart ever in the outdoors, Megann is an avid supporter of local, state, and national parks and hopes that her work might help elevate awareness and preservation efforts.

“Nature is ever at work building and pulling down, creating and destroying, keeping everything whirling and flowing, allowing no rest but in rhythmical motion, chasing everything in endless song out of one beautiful form into another. ”

John Muir
